Volunteering
DanceSafe NYC is looking for new volunteers!
We are always interested in having new volunteers join our chapter! We
need your help to continue promoting health and safety in our rave and
nightclub community.
Don't know what DanceSafe is all about?
DanceSafe is a harm reduction organization working to make having fun
safer and healthier for everyone. We table at parties and clubs, offering
information and harm reduction services such as adulterant screening to
fellow party-goers. But we also organize workshops, research and write
new drug information literature, perform street outreach, and much more.
Didn't think New York City had a DanceSafe chapter?
That's what we're trying to change. Join us as we try to make a bigger
difference in New York's nightlife.
What are we asking for in a volunteer?
DanceSafe NYC is looking for people of all ages and occupations who want
to make a difference. Whether you are interested in working on harm reduction
and drug use, club safety in general, or the legal aspects of nightlife
(such as the Cabaret Laws and the RAVE Act) there is a place for you in
our chapter. Give us a little of your time, or a lot - we are a flexible
organization eager to work with you if you’d like to work with us.
Want to learn more?
Fill out the form or contact Allison McKim (allison
at dancesafe.org) with questions. We’ll invite you to our
next New Volunteer Orientation and Training.
